Here's How to Make Buzz Work

Do the following when you have a valve you can't locate, but know the station number that operates it from your Automatic Sprinkler Timer:

  1. Disconnect the particular station hot wire from your timer

  2. Connect one lead from Buzz to the wire you just removed from the timer

  3. Connect the other lead to the now empty station terminal on your timer

  4. Activate your Automatic Sprinkler Timer so it supplies power to that station

  5. If the green light shines, you have power going through your valve... the valve should buzz

  6. Go to the general area you believe the valve is located. Listen for specific location

  7. If the green light doesn't shine, you have a broken wire or faulty solenoid on your valve

  8. Buzz works best if the main water supply to the sprinkler system is turned off. If possible, after the water has been turned off, activate a sprinkler valve that waters the lowest elevation. This will help drain the water from the sprinkler main line and increase the buzz sound at the lost valve.
